[LYN++] etsuko Dec 19, 2008
We’d like to express special thanks to the people of eClub Malaysia for allowing LYN++ to administer and train on one of their servers. This has come at a very good time as our members are now more proactive and we’re working hard on bettering ourselves.
Unfortunately, we won’t be using the eClub server to host any scrims as of yet. But, we will be doing it in due time. In the meantime, we’re looking for Team Fortress 2 clans either from Malaysia or Singapore to scrim with us during weekends.
Please get in touch with either me (etsuko) or strife for arrangements. Or, you could contact us from this website.
We’d definitely like to scrim with other clans from around the world too. But we’re worried of the bad latency you experience later. However, if you don’t mind this and would like to scrim with us, please do contact us too.

Updated September 27, 2008:
We’re looking at wrapping up the player list earlier than the expected October 10. Members have been having anxiety attacks (in a good way) and I believe this is a good sign for our new beginning.
Thanks for your commitment and understanding the situation which had befallen the clan. As you know, we’ve had members who left or resigned. However, this is the natural order of a gaming clan including its dramas and politics behind it. There hasn’t been a clan so far which I’ve not seen at one time go through this.
So, don’t pity us. You are the Team Fortress 2 Malaysia gamer who makes your own decision. The decision to either be in the competitive clan (LYN++) or to remain a casual gamer (LYN). If you’d like to commit seriously into the clan, please expect to do the following:
- Be open minded and responsible.
- Commit to training times.
- Commit to scrims or better known as friendly matches.
- Respect your team mates.
- Share the server rental costs for our private training server.
If you believe you’re prepared to commit to this competitive clan, please leave your player tag in the comments as followed: [LYN+] etsuko.
What’s the difference between having ++ and +?
The LYN++ team members are formed to enter tourneys. The [LYN+] team members will be substitutes and training buddies of the [LYN++] members. No, you’re not for target practice but the backbone of the clan. If your fellow [LYN++] member fails to perform, his/her ranking may be demoted and yours promoted. This’ll be determined by the clan leader(s) later.
What’s the difference between [LYN++] and [LYN+] and [LYN]?
The [LYN] gamers is the community group of [LYN++]. As our history has been written, the competitive clan; [LYN++] was made up from a community from the Low Yat forums. However, now we’ve decided to set things straight. [LYN++] will be known as the clan which teams will commit to training and participate in tourneys.
Again, if you believe you want to commit to training and participate in tourneys then leave your tag in the comments.
It’s neither a new dawn or a new day. This is [LYN++]. And, we are a Team Fortress 2 Malaysia gaming clan!
